We want to highlight one of the best decks we constructed in 2023 for a customer in Westminster, MA. We'll go over the entire project, from the first consultation and design to management and construction.
First Consultation & Showroom Visit
This customer started this monster project where they were going to just do a resurface. They started on the job and quickly found that this was going to take much longer. This homeowner decided to reach out to us to help them. Jake, our sales manager, went out and quickly realized that this deck would have to be fully replaced. He consulted with the homeowner and made sure to point specifically to what was not structurally sound. After that, they scheduled a showroom visit to pick out colors and finalize the desired design before handing it over to the design team.
Design & Permitting
After the sales team finalizes the deal, the project is handed over to the design team. They had a lot of fun with this multi-level design. During this phase, the design team works closely with the customer and the town building department to ensure the deck matches the customer's vision while complying with building codes. Once everything is sorted out and the customer approves the design plans, the project is assigned to a project manager, and construction begins shortly thereafter.
Management & Construction
Once the design plan and permit are approved, the project is handed over to a project manager. For this job, one of our project managers, Brandon, took charge. Brandon facilitated communication between the homeowner and the construction team to ensure the project progressed smoothly and according to plan. The deck turned out exactly as the customer envisioned and even went on to win Decks Direct Deck of the Month!
Notable features of the deck include Trex Transcend Lineage deck boards in the color Biscayne, Trex Select black rails with black aluminum balusters, white PVC wrap around all posts, and a beadboard finish on the lower deck to the upper deck. These elements perfectly complement the overall aesthetics of the deck.
