We want to highlight one of the best decks we constructed in 2023 for a customer in Westford, MA. We'll review the entire project, from the first consultation and design to management and construction.
First Consultation & Showroom Visit
This customer came to us with an old deck that needed to be replaced. Our sales manager, Jake, visited their home to understand the project better and provide an accurate quote. The customer then scheduled a showroom visit to explore Trex color options. They decided to upgrade the decking from Trex Select to Trex Transcend Lineage, a great choice for its natural wood look, cooling technology, and low maintenance. With a deal made, the project moved on to the next step: the design process.
Design & Permitting
After the sales team finalizes the deal, the project is handed over to the design team. They handle the designing, permitting, and creation of all construction plans. During this phase, the design team works closely with the customer and the town building department to ensure the deck matches the customer's vision while complying with building codes. Once everything is sorted out and the customer approves the design plans, the project is assigned to a project manager, and construction begins shortly thereafter.
Management & Construction
Once the design plan and permit are approved, the project is handed over to a project manager. For this job, our senior project manager, Glenn, took charge. Glenn facilitated communication between the homeowner and the construction team to ensure the project progressed smoothly and according to plan. The deck turned out exactly as the customer envisioned. Notable features of the deck include Trex Transcend Lineage deck boards in the color Jasper, Trex Select black rails with black aluminum balusters, a color-matched drink rail, and fascia board, which perfectly complement the overall aesthetics of the deck.
